Summary

There maybe instances whereby for one reason or another your Platinum system gives you a login error. This is usually caused by things such as a PC upgrade or breakdown. When the new pc is added to the network the old licenced PC will need to be removed from the records and the new one added. This article outlines the easiest ways to get your PC's "Platinum Terminal ID" to allow it to be reauthorised.

From within Platinum

From anywhere in platinum got to the top of the Platinum Screen and into Help -> About Platinum then click on the "Login" Tab and look for the Terminal ID line. Here there will be the name of the PC and then the four character unique Platinum terminal ID.

From a login Error

Once a new pc is added and the short cuts created, when double clicked you will get a login error as the pc is no with the authorised terminal list. Below is an example of such an error:

106 (SXID - xxxx) - Platinum has not been authorised to be used on this PC!

The "SXID" in the Brackets is the ID of the PC getting the error.

If you cannot get into Platinum

If for whatever reason the you are unable to get into platinum you can still get to your Platinum SXID by browsing to My Computer -> P: -> SX folder -> SxUtils the look for the SXID32.exe and run it to get a box that looks like this

Terminal ID (Method 2) of <Pc Name> is XXXX

                     OK

You'll see the four Character SXID at the far right of this box.
