When processing a sale for an item it may be necessary to take a deposit. The following article explains the best way to do this.

When in " Counter Operations\Stock Control Point of Sale"

  • Add the required item to the screen in the usual way
  • Once all items are added click [Checkout] to continue. Any items that are is out of stock will be back-ordered and part of this process is to take a Full deposit with an auto genrerated customer reference.
Information: These are marked with a '*' in the 'Order' column and highlighted in "Pink" are will have a zero or minus in the 'Free Stock' field
  • Once you are happy with the amount and reference click the [Confirm] button. This will take you to the usual payment screen allowing you to complete the transaction by clicking [Post]. This will then print a deposit receipt for the customer.
