The following article explains how to copy an existing stock code when creating a new item.

More Information

This is a useful option when creating parts with very similar details e.g. Clothing items where the description only alters to show different colours or sizes.

Go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".

  • Search for the item that you want to copy by entering either part of the "Description" or by part of the part number itself.
  • Click on the item to copy.
  • Click [Edit] or press <F5>.
  • Move up to the "Stock" field at the top of the screen.
  • Press <Shift+F9> to load the [Copy Stock Code] box.
  • Move down to the "New Stock Code" prompt and enter the stock code for the new item.
  • Press <Enter>.
  • Amend the description of the new stock code and any other relevant details to match the new item.
  • Press <Esc> and [Accept] to save the new stock code.
