Summary
This article explains why you may not be able to edit the information on the [Purchase] tab of a sold unit.
More Information
Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment. |
There are a few reasons why the information on the [Purchase] tab of a unit may not be editable.
Security
- Your user security settings do not allow you to edit Purchase information on sold units.
- Your user parameters do not allow you to edit the [Purchase] tab of a unit.
This can be checked on your user parameters in the "Unit Sales Security" and "Unit Sales User Screens" sections.
You may not have access to " User Maintenance". If this is the case then you will need to get your on-site system administrator to check for you or allow you access. |
Part Exchanges
- The unit was created as a part exchange unit. Platinum locks the [Purchase] tab of all part exchange units so that these cannot be edited from outside the unit sales order to prevent changes being made that would then not show correctly on the sales order.
