Why are stock codes missing from the search?
Summary
Platinum is able to hide stock codes from your search results within an invoicing program. This article explains why the stock codes will be missing and how to change this.
More Information
When you search for a stock code in an invoicing program, such as Point of Sale or a Workshop Job, Platinum will show you all items that match your search criteria, however some items that you are expecting to see may not be present in the list. This will be because they are marked with an 'Historic' status and you do not have any stock of this item.
- To check this go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".
- Search for the stock items and click [Edit] or press <F5> to open the stock code properties.
- Click the "Groups/Analysis" tab and select the "Status" field.
- If this status is filled in then press <Shift+F10> to open the Status Properties window. If this status is blank then the item will be showing up in your search results from the invoicing program.
- Click the [Settings] tab and if the "Historic" drop down is set to 'Yes' then the item will not be appearing in the stock search results as long as you have zero in stock.
- If you wish for this item to always appear in your search results then remove this status from the stock code.
