Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment. |
This same method can also be used to search for other types of units, e.g. Sold units, Demonstrators and so on.
Searching for units in general
Go to " Unit Sales Add or Edit Units".
- In the "Search on:", enter anything that you know about the unit or range of units for which you are searching. You can use unit model, registration number or any other criteria you may know about the unit.
- Click the [Search] button to list units with that criteria.
You can get to the " Add or Edit Units" screen from anywhere that there is a "Unit" Field by pressing <Ctrl+F1>. |
Searching for units that are in stock
Go to " Unit Sales Add or Edit Units". To search for units that are In Stock only, click on the [Advanced] button or press <F9>.
- To search for all current units, on "Current only:" enter 'Yes'. This will find all units with an 'In Stock' status, including for example units on sales order.
- Alternatively, in "Status:", enter the specific 'In Stock' status code required.
- If you need to search for the status, press <Ctrl+F1>, type 'Stock', then press <Enter>.
- Click on the 'Status' you wish to use and click [Choose] to select the status. This will take you back to the "Advanced Search Range" screen and fill in the status code.
- Click on the [Search] button to list only units that are in stock.
This method can be used quickly to establish what units you have in stock for a particular manufacturer. Go into the Advanced Search Range", select the 'In Stock'"Status" and enter the 'Manufacturer' in the "Filter On:" and click the [Search] button. |
Searching for units of other statuses
Follow the instructions above for searching for units that are in stock, but change the status for which you are searching.
