Entering your Government Gateway Details
These are not required after you sign up for Making Tax Digital, however you will need them to hand when authorising Platinum to access your V.A.T. records via the HMRC website. They are also still required for Platinum Payroll. |
Go into " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'government security'.
- In the "User ID.", enter the Government Gateway User ID from your HMRC Paperwork or Card.
- In the "Password", enter the Government Gateway Password from your HMRC Paperwork or Card.
Entering your V.A.T. Reg Number
Required by all versions of Platinums online VAT returns engine, before and after Making Tax Digital. |
Go into " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'v.a.t. reg'.
- In the "V.A.T. registration number", enter the V.A.T. Reg number WITHOUT a GB Prefix or any spaces.
