How can I Work out the Price excluding VAT?

The following article explains how to work out the price excluding V.A.T. of a stock item without having to use a calculator.

In most fields where you can enter a price, there is a function key available to remove the V.A.T. from the price.

All stock items in Platinum should be stored exclusive of V.A.T., because manufacturer and distributor parts and price files come with prices that are exclusive of V.A.T.

• Anywhere where you can get to a stock item properties, with the cursor in the "Standard Selling Price:" field or "Std Cost Price:" field, once you have entered a V.A.T. inclusive figure, pressing <F2> will remove the V.A.T. element.

To get quickly into the properties of a stock item, press <Shift+F10> from any stock code
