Creating unit manufacturers

Unit Manufacturers can store default information about a specific make. When creating a unit it is important to specify the manufacturer for advertising and sales purposes.

More Information

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment.

When you create a unit record you should select the Model. The manufacturer should be linked to this model.

Creating a New Manufacturer

Go to " Unit Sales Maintenance Options Add or Edit Manufacturers".

• Click [Add].

Alternatively you may create a Manufacturer Code whilst creating a new unit record or model:

• Go to " Unit Sales Add or Edit Units".
• Click [Add].
• Move down to the "Manufacturer" and press <Shift+F10>.

Follow these instructions to complete the unit record.

Manufacturer

Enter the Manufacturer Code then press <Enter>.

• Enter the name in the "Description" field.

You may set defaults per manufacturer although some of these fields can also be set per model so only complete the fields relevant to your business and the manufacturer in question. .

Once created click [Done] and [Accept].
