There are various methods of adding discounts to stock in the various parts of the system. Also it is possible to set an account over ride which will give a customer a discount everywhere in the system.
Discount Via the Account
This is a permanent method of adding a discount to stock for a customer. No matter where you are in the system this method will automatically add stock at a discount. Using this method would only require you to set the discount the once, where as the other methods in this guide will require you to add the discount each time you sell an item to the customer.

Discount Via Point of Sale
As mentioned above this method of adding discount will be need to be repeated each time to add discount. However unlike the above method it give you the control to give discount when you choose.

Discount Via Invoice and Customer Orders
As with "Point of Sale" adding discount via "Invoice and Customer Orders" means you have to repeat the steps each time that you wish to give discount unless of course you set the account with Discounts.
