This article sets out to explain how you search for a Cost Centre from anywhere within Platinum.
More Information
Cost Centres are used in various places throughout Platinum. In the following example, searching for a Cost Centre is going to be performed in Purchase Ledger Postings. For help on how to post an Invoice in Purchase Ledger Postings, click here Posting Purchase Invoices
- Post the Purchase Invoice as shown in Posting Purchase Invoices then, at the Cost Centre field, press <Ctrl+F1>
- At the Purchase Centre Search dialogue box, in the "Filter On" field, type a description of the centre you are looking for; eg, if you are posting a Parts Invoice, search for "stock" etc.
- This then returns a list of all matches with, in the above example, "stock" in the description.
- Select the one that you want by clicking [Choose]
