Summary

This option can be used to correct stock held in batches without affecting the stock itself e.g. if your stock and batch records are out of sync.

More Information

Go to " Systems Stock Control Maintenance Options Batch File Maintenance Batch Stock Take".

Batch Stock Take Report

  • Set the ranges for your report
    • Select the "Report order". If your batch codes vary you may wish to print in 'Stock code' order to print batches per item together.
    • Choose whether to include "Out of stock" batches. It can be handy to leave this set to 'Yes' to avoid missing items.
    • If you hold stock at multiple sites, choose your "Depot".
    • To limit the check to a range of batches and/or stock codes use the From' and To fields to set your range.
    • If you want the report to display the quantity the system thinks you have in stock then leave Print Quantity set to 'Yes'.
  • Press <F2> to print the stock take report then physically check the batches.

When you have finished counting you will need to return to the Batch Stock Take to enter any adjustments.

Adjust Batch Stock Levels

Set the ranges on the screen to the same as when you printed the report so that the list you will see matches the list you have in your hand.

  • Press <F2>.
  • Enter the actual batch quantity for the batches, leaving any blank that you do not wish to change.
  • When you have finished press <Shift+F2> to print a report showing which items have changed then press <F2> or click [Done] to accept the changes.
This will not make any changes to your stock levels nor will it post any accounting entries or record an entry in your stock history file. This option is purely to allow you to bring batches and their associated stock items back into line if they have gone out of sync for some reason.

To correct stock levels you should follow this article.
