How do I mark a stock item as historic?

If an item is no longer stocked you may flag it as historic to prevent it appearing in stock searches from any sales screen.

Go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".

• On "Filter on:" either type in part of a stock code or a description and press <Enter> to find an existing stock code.
• Press <F5> or click [Edit] to enter the Stock Properties.
• Click the drop down on the "Status" field.
• Select 'Historic' then click [Choose].
• Click [Done] and [Accept].

Stock items marked with a historic status will not be listed in searches for stock lines in the sales areas of the software. The purpose of this feature is to discourage the sale of stock items which are obsolete or otherwise no longer sold.

When in a sales screen if you choose to enter the exact stock code the system will let you sell the item although the usual availability check will take place. The status is displayed on a sales screen for information.
