How do I get a valuation of unit stock?

Summary
It is important to keep a close eye on the current value of your unit stock. It is also important to balance your unit stock at the month end against the balances shown on your balance sheet.
The system has a couple of choices for producing a report, each of which are explained below.

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment. |
Valuation at a Specific Date
Go to " Unit Sales Unit Reports Unit Sales Report Generator".
- Type 'valuation' and click <Search>.
- Select report 'VAL - Valuation at a Date'.
- Click [Start].
- Enter the ranges for your report and click <Start>.
- Click [Print] if you wish to print the report
If you wish to output the report to a file change [Document] to [Table] at the bottom of your screen. Press <Ctrl+P> to choose to output to [Excel]. |
This is a standard issued report. If you have created an additional unit status which needs to be excluded from the report, e.g. 'CRE - Created in Error', please Contact your Platinum dealer or our support team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website support contact page for advice. Please note additional configuration may be chargeable. |
Current Valuation
Go to " Unit Sales Unit Reports Reports Alter Report Range".
This will display a screen that allows you to set the range of units that will appear on your report.
Report Range
- "New Units"
- Entering 'Y' will result in only new units appearing. Entering 'N' will result in only used units being displayed. Leaving this record blank will result in both New and Used units being displayed.
- "Location"
- Enter a specific unit location for the report to look at. Leaving this blank will include all set unit locations.
- "Stock No. From","To."
- Enter the first unit stock number to include to the last unit stock number to include.
- "Statuses Included"
- You can enter up to three unit status codes to be included in the report.
- If all of the status included fields are left blank all statuses will be included (Unless they are specifically excluded by use of the exclusion fields).
- "Statuses Excluded"
- Enter up to three unit status codes to be excluded from the report.
- "Categories Included"
- You can enter up to three unit Category codes to be included in the report.
- If all of the categories included fields are left blank all categories will be included (Unless they are specifically excluded by use of the exclusion fields).
- "Categories Excluded"
- Enter up to three unit category codes to be excluded from the report.
- "Manufacturer"
- Enter the unit manufacturer code to be included in the report.
- If the manufacturer field is left blank all manufacturers will be included.
- "Models"
- Enter up to three unit model codes to be included in the report.

Once you have set the range that you require, press <Esc> to return to the Reports menu in order to run the Unit Valuation Report.
Report Running
Now that the search criteria has been entered on the Alter Report range screen, click on [Valuation Report] to run the report.
Printing: To print out the "Valuation Report" click [Toggle Output] so that the output shown is "Printer". Or to display the "Valuation Report" click [Toggle Output] so that output shown is "Display". |
