Summary

This article explains how to set an "Account on Stop" Status on accounts who have breached their credit terms.

More Information

As an administrator you may want to restrict two things:

  1. Staff members with low security removing the status on the actual account.
  2. Staff members being able to sell to or take an order from an account on stop.

You may need to ensure your Platinum system is configured to meet these criteria:

Configuration

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Security & Print Configuration".

  • 'SXPGR38 - Account Status' should appear in the list of "Programs".
    • If it does not appear move down to the end of the list and add 'GR38' to the list.
    • Under "Mask No." enter '9'.
Depending on how your system has been configured you may need to specify a different "Mask No." - see How do I Set Up User Security in Platinum?.
    • Under "Security" enter '9'.
  • Move through the list and find the main modules you use for invoicing/ordering e.g. 'SXPST - Stock Control'.
  • Enter the same "Mask No." as above. Leave the "Security" un-changed.
  • Press <Esc>.

Placing a Customer on Stop

Go to " Sales Ledger Customer File Maintenance Add or Edit Customers"

  • Find the customer and click [Edit].
  • Go to the [Invoicing] tab.
  • At "Status" click the down menu to select the relevant status.
    • If you need to add a new status please see this article.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept].

Removing a Status

Repeat the steps above and alter or remove the status on the account.

  • Click [Done] and [Accept].
