How do I authorise Platinum for Making Tax Digital?

Summary
This article will explain how to authorise your Platinum Software with H.M.R.C for the new Making Tax Digital regulations this will need to be done every 18 months. Before you try this make sure you have a password set for Platinum online as this will be used as a link between platinum and H.M.R.C's portal.

Go to " Reports & Settings Reports V.A.T. Reports".
You will now see a message saying your Platinum software is not authorised Click [Authorise].
Platinum online will now open in your browser window and you will need to enter your username and password and then press [login].
Platinum online should now open directly onto the H.M.R.C Authorisation section, If it does not the Click on " Administration" then Click " Authorisation" then " H.M.R.C Authorisation" Now Click on [Authorise] this will take you to ""GOV.UK"" Click on [Authorise] you will now be taken to a new page where you will need to enter your user id and password for the government gateway.
Now Click [Sign in].
Once you have signed in you will be taken to another page that will now ask you to authorise Platinum for Making Tax Digital.
Now Click [Grant authority] once this is done you will be taken back to Platinum and you can now run your V.A.T report as normal and platinum will file your V.A.T return for you.
