Details

If you find that Pound signs (£) sometimes do not print correctly on an old printer (e.g. a dot matrix printer) then the most common solution is to check the "Print Device" setting of the relevant "Print Record".

Method

To correct this problem you will need to amend the "Print Parameters".

  • The easiest way to amend these is by pressing <Alt+P> while inside any platinum program.
  • Press <Shift+F10> to enter the amendments program.
  • If the "Print Device" does not begin with a three letter code followed by a colon (e.g. 'WIN:' or 'WND:') then you may find that inserting 'DOS:' (without the quotes) in front of the current "Print Device" entry will solve your Pound sign printing woes.
