Why can I not login to my payroll?

This message indicates that there is already a user in the Payroll and only one user can log in at a time. First of all, check that nobody is actually in the Payroll at the time. If this is the case, then you have a locked user in there and they will need to be cleared out.
This can be caused by power cuts, PC crashes or lost network connection. These locked users need to be cleared the same way as a normal locked user. Help to do so can be found in this knowledge base article Here.
