If you try to enter a record in platinum and you get the:
The record you requested is currently in use..... |
This is letting you know that another user is editing the record and you will have to wait for them to Finnish before you can access the record. You have the option to [Quit] and do something else or you can wait and as soon as the record becomes free then you will be allowed to continue.
What to do if the Record is not Actually being Used
If you have checked with the user that Platinum is informing you has the record locked and they are not using this record, then there has been a problem of some kind and the record now has a ghost user in it. This is not a problem and is easily sorted.
The user Monitor screen holds a list of all current users of Platinum and the ghost user can be deleted from here. To clear the ghost user How do I Clear Old Users From the User Monitor Screen?
