Summary
This article outlines how to to alter your Platinum Payroll Tax Bands. Under normal circumstances, you should find that moving your payroll into the new tax year will implement these changes automatically.
Additional Information
You will need to make sure no other users are in the Payroll System. |
Go to "Payroll Main Menu" -> "Payroll Parameters/Maintenance" -> "Payroll Parameters" -> "Government Parameters" -> "Tax bands".
- Over type the existing upper and lower limits with the ones outlined in the email from Catalyst Software Support (If you have not received this email contact Software Support on support@catalyst-uk.com or call 0116 2301500). This information is also available on the HMRC website at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/it.htm.
Leave Tax Rate 40% set to a zero upper limit, as the system will automatically tax earnings at '40%' if they exceed the upper earnings limit. |
- The basic rate should still be 20% and the Overriding Regulatory Limit should still be 50% (K Codes).
- Tap <Esc> once you have entered the new bands to save the changes.
