Summary

It is possible to configure your Logistics Planning screen to suit your needs by changing the columns that are displayed. This article explains how to manipulate these columns

More Information

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Module Settings Logistics Management Planning Display Customisation".

  • This shows a screen with the following headings:
Field Width Heading Line/Item

These columns have rows down the page that are numbered 1 to 15. This relates to the number of columns across your Planning Screen. The sections below explain how all these fields work.

It is possible to add a blank line for a new row by pressing <Shift+F10> and rows can be removed by pressing <F10>.

Field

Each available field is assigned a number (e.g. 04 = Text 1 (Line 1 - 5).) These numbers can be increased by pressing <F1> or decreased by pressing <Shift+F1> or the relevant number can be simply entered if you know it.

Adding a number here will auto fill the rest of the fields with their Default information for that particular item.

Width

This is the width of the column that applies to the selected item (e.g. as the 1st line of the remarks field is 30 Characters wide this would say 30)

If you want to get more columns on your Planning screen you can reduce the amount of space a field takes. In the example above of our 30 Character Remarks line, if you only need 15 Characters of this, you could set the width to 15 to give you more space for other things. Be aware you WILL only see 15 characters of the field and thus if more are typed they WILL NOT appear.

Heading

This is the Title that will appear in the Planning screen, e.g. for 04 = Text 1 (Line 1 - 5) this would appear as 'REMARKS' as this is what is configured in the "Prompt Customisation" Screen.

You can shorten the headings if necessary so you could make this 'REM' to fit into a smaller column.

Line/Item

This is the item number related to the fields on the Job Properties screen. For example, if the second Line of the "Remarks" Block was set to a heading of 'AREA', when this field was set to 1 (the default) the heading and content would be 'REMARKS' but when changed to 2 this would then use the Prompt for that Line i.e. 'AREA'.
