Summary
The following article explains how to set up Stock Price Codes. These can be used to specify price lists for groups of customers, such as trade prices, or for an individual customer if needed.
More Information
Creating a New Price Code
Go to " Stock Control Maintenance Options Price, Group & Depot Codes Add or Edit Price Ranges".
- Click [Add] to add a new Price Code.
- Enter a three character code and a suitable description, e.g. 'TRA' and 'Trade Price List'.
- Click [Done] and [Accept] to save the Price Code.
Applying the Price Code to a Specific Item
Go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".
- Find the stock code you want to add to the Price List.
- Click [Edit].
- Click on the [Prices] tab.
- Click [Add].
- Enter the new Price Code, e.g. 'TRA'.
- Press <Enter> to move to the "V.A.T. exc. price" column.
- Enter the nett price.
- Alternatively move to the "V.A.T. inc. price" and enter the price including V.A.T.
- Click [Done] and [Accept].
Applying the Price Code to a Range of Items

Applying the Price Code to Customers
Go to " Sales Ledger Customer File Maintenance Add or Edit Customers".
- Find the customer name and click [Search].
- Click [Edit].
- Click the [Stock] tab.
- Enter the new Price Code in the "Price Code" field.
- Click [Done] and [Accept].
When selling stock to a customer they will be charged the price stored for this price code. Items without this code assigned will be charged at the standard selling price. |
