Summary
You may set up a customer loyalty scheme within Platinum which allows you to give customers a loyalty card which they can use to earn points and subsequently redeem those points as discounts on future purchases.
Customer Loyalty is a separate module which must be installed on your Platinum system. Contact your Platinum dealer or our sales team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website sales contact page for more information. |
Customer Loyalty in Platinum
The Customer Loyalty module currently works with:
- Stock Control's "Point of Sale".
- Sales Order Processing.

Redeeming Points
Point of Sale
To redeem points from a Loyalty Card in "Point of Sale":
- Enter all the items the customer is buying in the normal way.
- Before pressing [Checkout], scan the customer's loyalty card using the barcode scanner. The customer's name and the number of points available to them will be displayed.
- The number of points that are going to be earned from this sale will be displayed above the "Total:" in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Click [Checkout] to move to the "Payments" screen.
- Click "Loyalty Points" to pay all or part of the outstanding balance using the points the customer has previously earned.
- Points acquired from this sale will be added to the Loyalty Card after the sale has been completed.
Click [Post] to complete the sale as normal.
Sales Order Processing
To redeem points from a Loyalty Card in Sales Order Processing:
- Create a sales order in the normal way:
- Whilst creating the sales order, use the <Alt+F3> option to assign a loyalty card to the sales order.
- Once a loyalty card has been assigned, the card will earn points from the sales order.
- Go to " Sales Order Processing Order Invoicing".
- At "Account:", enter the account code of the customer who the order is for.
- Set up the invoice in the normal way and move to the "Payments" tab.
- Click "Loyalty Points" to pay all or part of the outstanding balance using the points the customer has previously earned.
- Points acquired from this order will be added to the Loyalty Card after the order has been invoiced and paid for.
