Summary
The ability to refund a deposit taken in the Stock Control.
More Information
Go to "Stock Control" -> "Invoice & Customer Orders".
- Press <F2> on the "Account Code".
- Press <F2>. This will take you to the Refund Deposit screen.
- Press <Arrow up> to the "Account":.
- Enter the "Customer Account Code" and/or "Reference".
- Press <F2> to Search for Deposits.
- A list will appear. Press <F5> against the deposit that you wish to refund.
- Once Selected Deposit(s) have been tagged press <F2> to select.
A prompt will appear asking "Do you want to refund the selected deposits?"
- Click [Yes] to Refund the Deposit you have selected.
A prompt will appear asking "Do you want to log this payment into till?"
- Click [Yes] to log the transaction to the till.
The system will try to refund the deposit in the same method as it was taken. e.g. Z900 - Cash. But if this should be different then change it. |
- Press <Esc>
A prompt will appear asking "Do you want to accept or ignore information entered, or accept with a receipt?"
- Click [Receipt] which prints out a receipt of the transaction.
- Click [Accept]
A prompt will appear asking "Remove orders associated with contact?" As you are refunding a deposit for a item that the customer no longer wants the system will need to remove all back orders associated with the current reference.
- Click [Accept]. To allow the system to do this for you.
Please be aware that purchase orders allocated to a specific supplier cannot be automatically removed. Any such orders will require specific removal elsewhere within the software. They should only be removed if delivery can be cancelled, this will require communication with the supplier beyond the scope of this software. |
