Summary

The following article explains how to customise the Job Planning view.

More Information

The Job Planning view screen can be customised either on a temporary basis or on a permanent basis, and for each user if necessary.

Permanent Basis

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings Module Settings Logistics Management Planning Display Customisation".

You will see the following columns:

  • The first column is the order in which the items will show across the Planning Display.
  • The "Field" column allows you to choose the items to view in the Planning Display. Pressing <F1> or <Shift+F1> will scroll you forwards/backwards through the list of available items.
  • The "Width" column is where you can specify the width of the column shown on the screen.
In some instances, you may not use all the space in a field and to get more items on the screen, you can reduce the amount of space that it uses on the Planning Display. Be careful not to lose useful information though!
  • The "Heading" field defaults to the name of the item used in the "Field" column and can be changed if you want to make it clearer to the users.
  • If the field chosen is one of the text blocks which have multiple lines, use the "Line/Item" column to show which line of the text block is to be displayed.

For Specific Users

At the top of the screen, you will see "Employee" with 'General users' shown alongside. If you do not change this, any changes that you make to the settings on the screen will affect any new users and existing users that don't have their own settings. To change the settings for an individual user, press <F5>. This will take you to the "Employee" code. Enter the relevant 'Employee Code'. You can search for the employee using <Ctrl+F1>. Press <Enter> to move to the main part of the screen and set the appropriate values for this user. Press <Esc> and accept this when complete.

Temporary Basis

Go to " Logistics Management Job Planning".

  • Press <F2> to pull up a list of today's jobs.
  • Hold down the left mouse button on the relevant column heading and "drag and drop" it to suit your display requirements.
  • Platinum will save these column positions until you exit the Planning Display.
