Summary

This article explains how to remove\deactivate a users login in Platinum.

More Information

When a employee leaves the company, it is good maintenance to make their Platinum user inactive which prevents users logging in under their user code and is generally good house keeping for Platinum.

To deactivate a user get into " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator User Maintenance".

This defaults to your user account:.

  • On the "User ID" type in the user code of the user you wish to deactivate or search for their User ID by pressing <Ctrl+F1>.
  • Press <F2> to select them.
  • Press <Enter> until you get to the "Leaving Date:" and enter the date user has left the company.
  • Toggle the "User Active" to 'N'.
  • Press <Esc> and click [Accept].
This will not delete the user from the Platinum Software but will prevent that user from accessing Platinum again.
