Summary
This article explains how to add analysis codes and apply them to an account code. This allows for more detailed reporting.
More Information
Go to " Systems\Accounts Sales Ledger Customer File Maintenance Add or Edit Customers".
- This will take you to a search screen. Press <F6> or click the [New] button if you want to create a new customer.
Tip: Or you can type in a part of a name or account code or description to find an existing code. |
- Click on the [Groups\Analysis] Tab.
- Click on one of the "Analysis" code boxes.
- Type a 1 Character code.
Tip: You can use a letter or a number here, but it must be just a single character. |
- Press <Shift+F10>. This will take you to the "Analysis Amendment".
- Type a 'Description' for the 'Analysis Code'.
- Press <Esc> and click [Accept].
Note: The box that you choose is significant. You can have the same character in more than one box meaning different things. For example, a code of 'A' in "Analysis Code 1" could signify Salesperson A. Having a code of 'A' in "Analysis Code 2" could signify Sales Area A. |
- You will now be able to use this code on the relevant customers and produce reports and other documents using this code.
