Summary
This article explains how to create standard messages that can be sent out from Platinum.
More Information
Platinum can store standard messages that can be retrieved and sent out to customers, saving you from having to type out the same message every time. These can either by SMS messages or Emails. Platinum can also create dynamic messages that include personalised details such as customer or vehicle information.
Create a Standard SMS Message
- Go to " Messages SMS Messaging Manage Messages" at the top of the Platinum screen.
- Click [Add] to create a new standard message.
- In the "Description" field enter a suitable description for the standard message.
- In the "From" field enter your company name. This will appear on the recipients phone when they receive this message. If you leave this field blank it will use the default sender name from your print record. Alternatively you can enter a mobile number which the recipient will be able to reply to when they receive the message.
- In the "Message" field enter the message to be sent out.
WARNING: A Standard SMS Message is '160' Characters long, so if the message you wish to send is more than '160' characters the system will use more than one message credit to send the required text. A warning will appear in the bottom left of the messaging box once the message goes over this number of characters and tells you how many characters your message is using, thus allowing you to trim the message down if required. |

Create a Standard E-Mail Message
- Go to " Messages E-Mail HTML Manage Messages"
- Click [Add] to create a new standard message.
- In the "Description" field enter a suitable description for the standard message.
- In the "From" field enter your e-mail address. This will be the address that recipients will see on the e-mail and be able to reply to.
- In the "Subject" field enter a suitable subject for the e-mail.
