This article explains how to assign a contract to a Logistics Job.
More Information
A contract can be assigned to a single job or multiple jobs.
Assign a Contract
Create or edit a job following this article.
- After entering the "Quantity" for the job press <F4> to Assign a Contract.
- Enter a "Contract" number or reference.
- Enter the total "Quantity" for which this contract is being created.
- If applicable, enter the date by which the contract should be completed.
- If you need to enter any more information use the 5 lines of "Description".
- Press <Esc> and [Accept].
- Press <F2> to assign the current job to the contract.
- Press <Esc>.
- Complete the job then press <Esc> and [Accept] the job.
Allocate to an Existing Contract
To allocate a job to an existing contract, create or edit a job following this article.
- After entering the "Quantity" for the job press <F4> to Assign a Contract.
- Available contracts will be listed. Highlight the relevant contract and press <F2>.
- The job quantity will be deducted from the "Unallocated" balance.
- Press <Esc>.
- Complete the job then press <Esc> and [Accept] the job.
Remove an Allocation
If you make an error or circumstances change you may wish to remove a job from a contract.
- Edit the job following this article.
- Press <F4>. Available contracts will be listed. The contract this job is allocated to will be highlighted.
- Press <Shift+F2>.
- Press <Esc> to exit the job.
Amend Planning Screen
If you wish to see which jobs are assigned to a contract you may add the 'Contract' column to your planning view.
- Follow this article to add field '22 - Contract' to the planning screen.
This column will display the 'Contract Reference' against the job. Jobs not assigned to a contract will display the letter 'N'.
