Details
While Platinum is busy in many areas it gives a status window telling you what data it is processing. On some of the screens a progress bar and time remaining is given (The time remaining isn't given until the status window has been displayed for 2 minutes) but not all status windows have this information.
The reason the progress bar is only shown sometimes is that number of data items isn't always known and Platinum can only tell you how far it is through a process if it knows the total number of data items to process.
