Summary
The following article explains how it is possible to attach statuses to stock codes (e.g. OB - obsolete stock), this article talks you through how to add these and apply them to a stock code. This can be helpful for reporting, stock take, website, and pricing purposes, to give but a few examples.
More Information
Select " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".
- This will take you to a search screen. Press <F6> or click the [New] button.
Tip: Or you can type in a part of a stock code or description to find an existing code. |
- Click on the "Status" Box.
- Type a 3 Character code in capitals that relates to the status you require.
- Press <Shift+F10>. This will take you to the "Stock Status Properties".
- Type in a Description for the status.
- You will also see "Background" and "Foreground" colours for your status - These are optional but useful in some cases.
Tip: If you give your account status High contrast colours, for example Black text on a yellow background it will make the warning message stand out and also highlight any account with these colours on any account searches you do, making them easier to spot. |
- Click [Done].
