Summary

The following article explains how to create/amend a code for a Trailer to allow you to allocate this to a Logistics Ticket.

More Information

Go to " Logistics Management Maintenance Options Add or Edit Trailers".

  • Click [Add].
  • In the "Vehicle" field, enter a code for the trailer in question and press <Enter>.
  • Enter the description of the trailer and its number in the "Description" field and press <Enter>.
  • Press <Esc> or click [Done] and click [Accept].

Additional Fields

The remaining fields can be completed where relevant but are not mandatory.

Current

Over a period of time trailers will be added and removed from the fleet. In order to hold historic information it is often useful to keep trailer records on file even after they are no longer used. Indicate here whether this trailer is currently available for work.

Location

Enter the current location of the trailer.

Status

You may enter a status for the trailer e.g. 'Loaded' or 'Empty'.

  • Press <F1> or <Shift+F1> to scroll through existing status codes or <Ctrl+F1> to search for a status.
  • To add a new status, press <Ctrl+F1> and click [Add].
    • Enter a code, max 3 characters. Press <Enter>.
    • Enter a description e.g. 'Empty'.
    • In the "Colours" section, you can change the "Text" colour and "Background" colour by putting a tick in the relevant box and then clicking the drop down box to select a colour.
Always make sure you have contrasting colours for your text and background colours to allow for easy visibility, e.g. Black text on a Yellow background like this: Yellow & Black.
  • Press <Esc> or click [Done] and click [Accept] to save the changes.
