Summary
This article explains how to email single or multiple files from within Platinum.
More Information
You can send stored files as an email attachment.
This requires the "SXMail" module to be installed. Contact your Platinum dealer or our sales team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website sales contact page if you don't have this in your system and would like to add it. |
See How do I send an email from Platinum? for more information about sending emails.
To email a specific file
You can email a single file directly from a "Media" tab:
- Select the stock, unit, customer, supplier or job, etc. which contains the file you want to email.
- Go to the "Media" tab.
- Find the file in the list.
- Press the [Email] button.
- This will bring up the "Send Email" window from which you can enter email address, subject and message etc.
- From here you can preview the attached file and amend the name as it will appear in the email if required, via the Attachments button.
- Press [Send] to send the email.
To email multiple files
Alternatively you can select and attach multiple files from various media sources:
- Select " Messages Email output New message".
- Click the Attachments button [Click to attach media...]
- On the " Available" side select from the drop-down box of sources of media that might be available at that point within Platinum.
- Press the [Add >] button for any file(s) you would like to attach to the email. These will be shown in the list on the right.
- From here you can preview the attached files and amend the names as they will appear in the email if required.
- Press [Close] when finished with the attachments.
- Press [Send] when ready to send the email.
