Summary

This article explains how to show that a technician has left so that the hours available for that technician in the workshop diary are reduced giving an accurate amount of available hours, which will help not only in preventing double booking available time, but will also make sure that your productivity and efficiency figures are correct.

More Information

If you are using Platinum Online or Real Time Labour Recording to record labour, then your technicians will be linked to a Platinum user code.

It is important that you do not enter a leaving date on their record until they actually leave else they will be immediately unable to access Platinum or Platinum Online.

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Add or Edit Users".

  • Find the user for that technician.
  • Set the "Leaving Date" to the date that they left.
  • Click <Done> and [Accept] the changes.
  • The leaving date on the technician record will be auto set to the date entered on their employee code.

If you record labour by adding it manually to a job, then please follow this process:

Go to " Workshop Maintenance Options Technicians Labour Rates Add or Edit Labour Codes".

  • Click [List] and find the technician in the list.
  • Highlight the technician and click [Edit].
  • Move to the "Leaving date:" and enter the date that the technician left.
  • Click <Done> and [Accept] the changes.
