Summary

This article explains how to create additional sites in Platinum.

More Information

Sites can be used for a number of purposes. If you have more than one location for your business, a site code can be allocated to each one so that you can use one system but have data split for operational and reporting purposes. Each site can have its own logo, depot for stock items and locations for units and workshop. This can be used if the locations are geographically spread, or if you have a requirement for different documents and information depending on franchise but operating from the same location.

Creating Sites

  • Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Add or Edit Sites".
  • Enter a new 'Site Code'.
  • Fill in the general details and use the other pages to set up any other details such as 'Default Stock Depot, Sales Account, Price Code Override' and others.

The site will then be available both when logging in to Platinum and while you are in Platinum.

  • When logging in, enter the site code into the 'Site' box.
  • If you are already in Platinum, press <Alt+T> to select the site that you want to use from the drop-down.
