Summary
The following article explains the basics of using the Vehicle Sales Module. For detailed Vehicle Sales advice, please refer to the relevant Knowledge Base sections.
Add/Edit a Vehicle
Go into "Vehicle Sales" -> "Add/Edit Vehicles".
- This will take you to a search screen. Press <F6> or click the [New] button to create a new vehicle record.
There are various tabs that need information filling out on:
Vehicle
- The first thing you need to do is give the record the next available stock number. Pressing <F2> will do this.
- Select whether the vehicle is new or used using the drop-down arrow.
- Enter a registration number for the vehicle if known.
- Enter the model of the vehicle in the model field.
- Enter the primary colour of the vehicle if the not already filled out.
- Enter the engine size if known.
- Enter the chassis number if known.
Details
- Enter the registration date if a used vehicle.
- Enter the build year.
Purchase Tab
- Enter a supplier and purchase date for the vehicle.
- Enter the purchase amount.
- Enter in the part number you wish to add to the sales order.
Sale Tab
- Enter a target price for the vehicle.
Features
- Double-Click any of the unallocated items in the unallocated column. This will add them to the features for the vehicle.
Web Publishing
Ensure that "Catalyst FindIt" is ticked.
Pictures
Add any pictures for the vehicle record. Click <Done> and <Accept> to save the record.
Creating a Sales Order
Go into "Vehicle Sales" -> "Vehicle Sales Documents"
- Press <F6> or click the [New] button to create a new Sales Order.
- A the next prompt, click <Order> if this is a sales order, or <Invoice> if going straight to invoice.

Sale Details
- Enter in a customers account details in the customer field, or see here for details on how to create a new one.
- Enter in a desired delivery date. This will create a PDI job in the Workshop Module ready for scheduling in the diary.
- Enter in the vehicle stock number of the vehicle you are creating the order for.
Extras & Accessories
- To add parts to the order, click <Add> or press <F6>.
