- Click twice on the item for which you want to add a Stock Group to.
- Click on the Groups/Analysis Tab
- Enter a 3 Character Code in CAPITAL LETTERS for the group you wish to attach this part to e.g. PTS for Parts
- Press <Shift+F10> to create the group
- Enter a valid description for the group in question e.g. Parts for PTS
- Click on the Parameters tab
- Although there are many entries on this screen and they are optional. If you wish to enter more than just the description the most important is the sales centre this allows the part in question to have a particular sales centre automatically assigned when sold e.g. 100 Parts Sales or 150 for accessories Sales.
- Press <Esc>.
- Then press <Enter> to save the settings.
- Finally press <Esc> to return to Stock Properties.
REMEMBER: When creating your stock groups, it is important to have a written procedure laid down for designing these groups that everyone follows so that there is consistency and structure. |
