Summary
The following article explains how to use Personnel Planning to record unit storage e.g. when a customer leaves a caravan with you over the winter.
The Booking and Hire module is designed specifically for hire of items and pitches. Please Contact your Platinum dealer or our sales team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website sales contact page for more information on this more tailored solution to unit storage.
More Information
The Personnel Planning module can be used to record the period of time a unit is stored on site. Invoicing for storage should be done using Sales Ledger Regular Invoicing.
The Personnel Planning Diary can be used to log when a customer arrives or leaves site. This allows you to see at a glance what units are on site and how long they have been with you.
Go to " Personnel Planning Diary Entries".
- Click [Add] to add a new diary entry.
- Enter your employee code in the "Person" field (You may wish to create a specific employee code to use for logging unit storage entries against).
- Enter the date the customer comes on to site in the "Date" field.
- Enter the time that the customer has arrived on site in the "Start time" field.
- Enter the customer in the "Account" field.
- In the "Type" field, select a suitable appointment type e.g. 'SIT' - Customer on Site.
- In the "Notes" field, type any relevant notes.
- Click [Done] and <Accept> to save the entry.
- When the customer leaves site, go back into the diary entry and in the "End Time:" enter the time that the customer leaves site.
- Alternatively create the diary entry to span the time they are leaving the unit on site.
