Summary
This article explains how your drivers can log into the Platinum Online system so that they can view their jobs and upload PODs while out on the road.
More Information
Before your drivers can access Platinum Online, you need to be able to access Platinum Online yourself! First please see How do I connect to my Platinum Online? if your system is not already set up for this.
Now you can give your drivers access as follows:
- In order to access Platinum Online, each driver must also have their own Platinum User created so that they can log in. This is so that they can easily see their own jobs and nobody else's. For each driver you want to access Platinum Online:
- Create a new user as described in How do I set up a new user?.
- Each driver's Platinum user should be given access to the " Logistics Management Job Planning" option and as little else as possible. See the linked articles from How do I set up a new user? on how to do this.
- Each driver's user should then be given a Platinum Online password as described in How do I set or change my Platinum Online Password?.
- Next, each new user should be attached to their associated Logistics Management driver code:
- Go to " Logistics Management Maintenance Options Add or Edit Drivers".
- For each driver you want to access Platinum Online, click [Edit] and enter their new user code into the "User" field.
Your drivers can now access Platinum Online to view their upcoming jobs and upload pictures of proof of delivery taken on their smartphone camera.
Show more details in the Logistics POD Manager
You can optionally display the remarks text block on logistics jobs in the " Logistics POD Manager" in Platinum Online:
- Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings".
- Search for 'remarks'.
- Find "Show remarks text block", and press <F5> on it.
- Make your choice, then press [OK], then <Esc> and accept your changes.
This change will take effect in Platinum Online the next time you log in. If you are already logged in, you will need to log out and back in again.
