Summary

When a Workshop job is invoiced the system can automatically fill in the last and next service dates on the unit record.

More Information

When creating a Workshop job, either enter the word 'Service' in the "Description:" field on the Job [Details] tab or apply a Job Type of 'Service' to the job in the [Job Types] tab.

Note: You can make the selection of a "Job Type" mandatory to ensure that this is entered. See this article for more information.

When the job is invoiced the system will auto fill the service dates on the unit record.

  • The "Last Service" will be set to the date the invoice is raised.
  • The "Service Due" date will be calculated based on previous service information and estimated annual mileage if enough history is available. Alternatively, the date will be calculated on settings against the unit itself, the unit model, the unit manufacturer or by a system default setting, whichever one has been set.
