Summary
The following article explains how to create/amend a code for a new driver to allow you to allocate this to a Logistics Ticket.
More Information
- Go to " Logistics Management Maintenance Options Add or Edit Drivers".
You can also press <Shift+F10> from the "Driver" field when in a job. |
- Click [Add].
- In the "Driver" field, enter a Driver code relevant to the Driver in question e.g. their initials and press <Enter>.
- Enter the Name of the driver in the "Name" field and press <Enter>.
- Press <Esc> or Click [Done] and click [Accept].
Additional Fields
The remaining fields can be completed where relevant but are not mandatory.
Bonus
Enter the percentage bonus due to this Driver for performing a Unit of work. This is calculated from the nett amount of a job allocated to this driver, multiplied by this percentage. The driver bonus may be reported by date range from the "Logistics Reports" menu.
Current
Over a period of time drivers start and end periods of employment. In order to hold historic information it is often useful to keep drivers on file even after they have left. Indicate here whether this driver is currently available for work.
Usual
If this driver usually drives a specific vehicle enter that vehicle code.
- Press <F1/S-F1> to scroll through existing vehicles or <Ctrl+F1> to search for a vehicle.
- To add a new vehicle press <Ctrl+F1> and click [Add]. See How do I Create a New Vehicle?.
Mobile
Enter the driver's mobile phone number. This will allow you to send the driver an SMS with job details.
User
If the driver has a Platinum User record you may enter their User Code here.
- Press <F1/S-F1> to scroll through user records or <Ctrl+F1> to search for a user code.
Notes
To record any extra information about a driver, e.g. emergency contact details, press <Ctrl+F8> or click "General Notes".
Click [Done] and [Accept] to save the Driver record.
