VE68 - VAT treatment (Unit Sales Data Import variable)

Syntax

VE68{I/C}

Description

Some units require special V.A.T. treatment. This variable covers two possible conditions.

Parameters

I/C

A text parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "I").

I

Fresh import flag. Governs the rules concerned with the first sale of a freshly imported used unit.

C

Removable contents flag. Governs the rules concerned with V.A.T. on static vans and caravans, which are mainly zero rated for V.A.T., with V.A.T. charged on a percentage of the value to account for removable contents.

Value

A text value whose typical size is 1 character.

Y

Unit is a Fresh Import; or Unit is liable for V.A.T. on removable contents only.

N

Unit is not an Import, or it has been sold once since being Imported; or removable contents V.A.T. rules are not applicable.
