The following article explains how to create or amend a hire item activity type in the Booking and Hire module.
More Information
"Hire item activity types" control and describe what happens to hire items. There are two main categories of activity types:
Booking time activities represent time that hire items are out on customer bookings. |
Downtime activities represent time that hire items are unavailable for customer bookings. |
Creating a Hire Item Type
Go to " Booking and Hire Maintenance Options Add or Edit Activity Types".
- Press the [Add] button.
Details
- At "Description:", enter the description of the activity.
- At "Colours", you can select "Text:" and "Background:" colours in which the activity will appear.
Settings
- At "Time type:", choose whether this activity is a 'Booking time' or a 'Downtime'.
- If the activity is a 'Booking time':
- At "Booking statuses", you can customise the statuses set at each stage of the booking process for customer bookings with this 'Booking time' activity.
- On the "Booking Settings" tab, you can customise the text that appears on booking invoices for customer bookings with this 'Booking time' activity.
- On the "Security Settings" tab, you can customise the text that appears on security invoices for customer bookings with this 'Booking time' activity.
Saving the New Hire Item Activity
- Press the [Done] button and [Accept] the changes to create the hire item activity.
